Shohei Ohtani Scandal Update đź’°

Post Press-Conference Update

In a desperate attempt to fix what is clearly a botched cover up, Ohtani held a press conference.

A few key pieces were conveniently absent from his statements.

I’m assuming most of you didn’t watch the full thing.

Ohtani spoke for about 12 minutes and didn’t take any questions…which immediately makes anyone look kinda guilty.

Remember, the initial story that Ohtani’s PR team gave to ESPN was the same story that Mizuhara gave to ESPN.

They both agreed that Shohei knowingly paid off the debt.

There was no mention of any crime or theft.

Now nowhere in his press conference did he address completely switching his story to…

My best friend casually committed $4.5 million bank heist on me.

Also remember, while story was breaking the Dodgers were opening the season in Korea and these two guys were seen on the field interacting with each other like nothing was going on.

Not exactly the behavior you’d expect from someone who just stole $4.5 million from you.

If Ohtani took questions we might have received answers to, how did Mizuhara even have access to his bank account?

And how did he just recently realize that several $500k wires had gone out?

The MLB has stepped up and opened an investigation here, but judging by how long these things take it’ll be a while before we learn anything.

Unless they find conclusive evidence that Shohei was betting on baseball, don’t expect much to happen here.

The MLB knows how toxic this story is to their bottom line.
