Kevin Durant Can Blame Himself

Once again…KD is unhappy.

But this time, he has nobody but himself to blame.

Things move fast in the NBA, so let me jog your memory…

KD stared down the Nets last season after not getting his way with an offseason trade request.

Now usually in these demands the superstar shares his list of preferred destinations.

It’s always a bit ridiculous considering they’re under contract…

But it was even more head scratching for KD considering he had just signed a 4 year $194 million deal.

Apparently that wasn’t enough to warrant a list.

He said no bidding war.

It’s Phoenix or nothing.

He got his way and was dealt to the Suns just before the deadline.

Keep in mind…we are only 33 games into KD’s Phoenix career.

Beal arrived shortly after and naturally after trading for 2 max players…

The team was gutted of its surrounding talent and picks.

Woj’s report on KD’s “frustrations” detailed 2 driving forces:

  1. Beals unavailability

  2. Lack of roster depth

If you paid any attention to the Wizards over the last 5 years, you could have easily predicted Beal missing time.

KD needs to take a long look in the mirror.

His trade request is the reason this team is shallow.

He’s still incredible, but he clearly didn’t think this through.
